Stitch-bonded fiberglass CSM is a kind of multilayer composite made from roving. Each layer is arranged uni-directionally and in parallel in 0 degrees, 90 degrees and in +/- 45 degree direction. With one outer layer of chopped strand, a multilayer mat is produced. Stitch-bonded CSM can be used in the pultrusion process, open lay-up and in the resin transfer moulding (RTM) process. The end products are boat shells, automotive parts, laminates and structural shapes.
