This product is a special fiberglass fabric which contains more than 95% silicon dioxide. Excellent heat resistance, it can withstand continuous temperatures of 900 degrees celsius for long periods of time, and instantaneous temperatures of up to 1400 degrees celsius. Ideal material for missile and rocket manufacture in the aerospace industry where high-temperature burning occurs. Other products include yarn and filtration mesh pieces which are treated with a high-temperature heat resistance coating. This product is ideal for heat preservation material, fire fighting equipment like fire curtains and fireproof garments. Very good in dust collection and filtration equipment where special material is needed to withstand high temperature gas, and in filtering high-temperature liquid metal.

High Silica Yarn

This yarn has a fixed length and is used for phenolic resin reinforcement and deforming of centering resistant wares.

• Length (nominal): 950 +/- 150mm
• Density (nominal): 85 +/- 15tex
• Breaking strength: >= 4.0 N
• SiO2 content: >=96%
• Loss on ignition: <=3%

High Silica Chopped Strands

High silica chopped strands is made from high silica yarn (as above).

• Cut length: 6mm
• Filament diameter: 7 micron
• Density (nominal): 85 +/- 15tex
• Breaking strength: >= 4.0 N
• SiO2 content: >=96%
• Loss on ignition: <=3%

High Silica Casting Filter Mesh

High silica fiberglass casting filter mesh is treated by high-temperature resistant coating to form rigid sheets. It is used for filtering melting metal in the casting of grey cast iron and ductile cast iron. Two types of filter mesh are available:

1. XR-II: leno woven (XR-IIa is a lighter style; XR-IIb a heavy style) and suitable for grey cast iron and ductile cast iron.
2. XR-III: mock leno woven and suitable for small scale cast steel.

• Standard hole size: 1.5x1.5, 2.0x2.0, 2.5x2.5 and 3.0x3.0mm
• Standard sheet size: 300x150mm, other sizes to a maximum of 1000 x 800mm are available upon request.
